CareMeridian’s CARF-accredited residential brain injury rehabilitation and recovery program in Scottsdale, Arizona, provides recognized rehabilitation services for those who have sustained a neurological injury as a result of trauma, stroke or other medical events. Our team offers 1:1 therapy and 24/7 care.

Through intense, active neurorehabilitation and personalized care plans, we help patients transition home. We provide brain injury care that helps post-acute patients improve their quality of life and reach their rehabilitation goals, whether that means returning home, to work or to school.

Our Scottsdale facility has six private rooms and provides daily living assistance and support services to patients who have been discharged from a hospital or other more intensive rehabilitation facility, but who still face physical, psychological, and social challenges as they work toward increased independence and community integration.

Opened in 2010, our Scottsdale brain injury rehabilitation program provides a full complement of multidisciplinary rehabilitation services. These services include neuropsychology, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, vocational counseling, mobility assistance, life skills training and community integration – performed together with our specialists in a comfortable, non-institutional setting.

Special Activities

On site, residents participate in a number of great activities from holiday craft projects and scrapbooking to game and movie days. Whenever possible, we also love taking advantage of exciting activities available throughout our community. We take residents on field trips to the Hall of Flame Museum, Saguaro Lake, Out of Africa Wildlife Park, the Phoenix Zoo, Tonto National Forest, the local Airforce Base, and to the movies.

Our community is lucky to be home to a variety of organizations dedicated to helping survivors of traumatic injuries. Our residents participate in events put on by these organizations as often as possible. Partner organizations include: Brain Injury Alliance Arizona, BNI Day on the Lake, Arizona Spinal Cord Injury Association, We’re Moving Forward, Ability 360 Sports and Fitness Center and more.

Grounds and Location

The Scottsdale location includes an aquatic therapy pool where residents are able to move gently in the water with help from therapists. We also have a mobility path on the grounds to provide additional rehab and motivational opportunities.  Our large open dining area and living room create homey spaces for residents to spend their time.

Lodging and Transportation

Convenient hotels for visitors are located just two miles from the subacute services facility near Kierland Commons, a large shopping center. If you’re flying to the area, Scottsdale Airport is just two miles from the facility, and Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport is 18 miles away.

We encourage visits from families and friends, and unlike other post-acute care options, CareMeridian provides neurorehabilitation services in a non-institutional setting, creating an environment conducive to quicker recovery. CareMeridian Scottsdale is the bridge from hospital to home. Contact us today for more information or to schedule a visit.
